Replenishment in EazyStock: how an order proposal is created.
The key points
- EazyStock computes per article every night: update the forecast, check the parameters, put available stock against the reorder point.
- An order proposal bundles all articles of a supplier that are due, including quantity and reason.
- Your purchasing approves and handles exceptions. The retyping is gone: the order goes back into the ERP.
- Every proposal can be expanded down to forecast and parameters. Traceability is the point.
What happens every night?
After the daily close, your ERP exports movements, stock and open orders. The optimisation updates the forecast per article, checks the classification and puts available stock against the reorder point. If an article falls below its reorder point, it lands in the order proposal of the responsible supplier. In the morning everything is computed, before your purchasing has its first coffee.
What does an order proposal consist of?
What stays with purchasing?
The decision. The standard case is an approval in minutes; the attention belongs to the exceptions: a new article without history, a conspicuous forecast, a supplier with delivery problems. This exact division of labour is what Order Steering™ means: rules decide the standard case, people the exception.
An order proposal is only as good as the parameters behind it. If proposals are regularly overruled, that's not an operating error but a signal: targets or master data don't fit. That belongs in regular operation, not in a drawer.
